In the second quarter of 2024, the top five navigation and maps applications in Portugal demonstrated varied performance trends in terms of downloads and weekly active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw consistent download numbers, starting at around 20K in early April and peaking at 22.8K in late May. Weekly active users for the app increased steadily from 566K to approximately 616K by the end of June.

Google Maps Go experienced a gradual rise in downloads, beginning with 8.6K in the first week of April and reaching nearly 10.8K by early June. The app maintained a robust active user base, fluctuating slightly but remaining around 1.4M throughout the quarter.

Via Verde had a moderate download trend, with numbers ranging from 6.2K to 8.9K. Weekly active users showed a positive trend, starting at 16.5K and peaking at nearly 19.7K in mid-June, before slightly declining to 17.3K by the end of the quarter.

Google Earth displayed a relatively stable download pattern, with figures hovering around 4.3K to 4.9K. Active users remained consistent, starting at 35.9K in early April and ending at 36.4K in late June.

Lastly, Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer showed a varied download trend, peaking at 3.8K in early April and dropping to just over 2K by late June. Active user numbers followed a similar pattern, starting at 1.8K and peaking at 3.6K in mid-June, before settling at 2.9K by the end of the quarter.
